Electronic Signature and Consent Agreement

Your agreement to receive account documents electronically and to sign agreements using electronic actions inside the SafliPay app.

Effective 13 July 2026

01What You Are Consenting To

By creating a SafliPay account, ticking an in-app consent box, entering a one-time code, transaction PIN, or biometric confirmation, or tapping a button labelled to confirm an action, you agree that these actions constitute your electronic signature. Your electronic signature has the same legal effect as a handwritten signature under the Evidence Act 2011 and other applicable laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

02Electronic Delivery of Documents

You consent to receive all agreements, disclosures, notices, statements, receipts, and other communications relating to your SafliPay account electronically, through the SafliPay app, by email to the address on your account, or by publication on saflipay.com. Electronic delivery satisfies any legal requirement that a communication be provided in writing.

Documents we deliver electronically include, but are not limited to:

  • The Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, and updates to them.
  • Account statements, transaction receipts, and fee disclosures.
  • KYC, verification, and compliance notices.
  • Dispute communications and outcomes for SafePay transactions.
  • Service, security, and regulatory notifications.

03Hardware and Software Requirements

To receive and retain electronic documents you need: a device capable of running the SafliPay mobile application (Android or iOS); an internet connection; a valid email address; and sufficient storage to save documents, or a means to print them. By consenting, you confirm you have access to these.

04Keeping Your Contact Details Current

You are responsible for keeping the email address and phone number on your account accurate and current so that we can deliver communications to you. You can update your contact details in the app under Profile, or by contacting support.

05Requesting Paper Copies

You may request a paper copy of any document we have delivered electronically by emailing hello@saflipay.com. We may charge a reasonable fee for printing and postage where permitted by law. Requesting a paper copy does not withdraw your consent to electronic delivery.

06Withdrawing Your Consent

You may withdraw your consent to electronic delivery and electronic signatures at any time by contacting hello@saflipay.com. Because SafliPay is a digital-first service, withdrawing consent may mean we are unable to continue providing your account, and we may need to close it after settling any outstanding transactions in accordance with the Terms of Service.

07Updates to This Agreement

We may update this agreement from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notification or email before the effective date. Continued use of SafliPay after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised agreement.
